ProSphere Tek is looking for a Network Administrator who will be responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting a government client’s network systems. They will design and install LANs, WANs, Internet and intranet systems, and network segments. They will provide planning to incorporate how new network resources and applications will exist on the network. They will use network management tools to discover, map, maintain and monitor the network to insure its highest level of performance.  Will also be responsible for documenting procedures and keeping network diagrams and related material up to date.

• Design and deploy networks
• Design, install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
• Install and maintain network hardware and software.
• Analyze and isolate issues.
• Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
• Evaluate and modify system's performance.
• Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
• Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.

Required Education:

• B.S. degree in Business Information Systems or 5 years of  relevant experience

Required Skills:

• CCNA or Equivalent Cisco Certification
• Experience with network monitoring tools
• Experience with Cisco routers and switches
• Cisco IOS, configurations and upgrade implementations
• Deploying, configuring, and monitoring network services such as fail over, load balancing, caching, DNS, peering and multi-homing
• Strong understanding of network design and provisioning process
• Understanding of compliance standards (CIS, NERC, FISMA)

Desired/Preferred Experience:

• CCNE
• Cisco PIX/Firewall experience
• Prior experience in Dept. of Veterans Affairs (or) any US Government Agency
