Overview

ProSphere is seeking a Technical Writer who is highly experienced in explaining vastly technical data in very simplistic and understandable terms.  The candidate will be required to distill information into useable verbal, written, graphical or other forms of media for delivery to non-technically savvy users of complex information systems and projects related to those systems.  The Technical Writer must have proven experience in gathering data and information and then converting it into written narratives, reports and abstracts. This is a full-time remote position. Veterans are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and communicate business and technical data and information in simple language
  • Support technical users and community staff while managing the information expectations required of the process
  • Serve as the key interface between technical and non-technical staff
  • Ensure delivery of contract requirements in weekly and monthly status reports
  • Apply communication and coordination of standard operating procedure to process related efforts
  • Provide status reporting to project stakeholders including client management and the project team, as required
  • Participate in regular customer meetings to record technical information for simple translation, as required
  • Gather data and information and then convert it into written narratives, reports, and abstracts

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Business, Information Systems/Technology, or other analytical or technical discipline preferred (4 years of relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ progressive experience as a Technical Writer, Technical Project Analyst or similar efforts
  • Experience analyzing at the program level down to related individual project tasks
  • Ability to create, manage, update and follow schedules
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills are required
  • Capable to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience with MS Suite to include Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio
  • Experience providing services to the federal government and/or the Dept. of Veterans’ Affairs is preferred
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a clearance for persons in a position of public trust conducted by the VA/OPM
