ProSphere is seeking a Software Tester to join our team supporting our government customer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within a fast-paced environment to test highly complex applications. Product quality and stability is critical and you will play a key role in ensuring this as projects progress through the development lifecycle.  This is a full-time remote position.  Veterans are encouraged to apply.


  • Oversee, manage, and help staff test events with appropriate resources
  • Coordinate with developers and functional analysis to create test plans and test scripts in accordance with VA mandated testing documentation standards and templates.
  • Coordinate, perform SQA / IV&V Testing activities
  • Coordinate with testing stakeholders and other team participants to plan test events to include CIT, SQA / IV&V
  • Lead and conduct testing in accordance with Master Test Plan specifications that provide tracking, monitoring, and reporting of results
  • Review and approve test reports
  • Monitor and update defect and bug reports
  • Enter all Test Plans, Defects, and reporting data in the CA Rally Application Lifecycle System (ALS)


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline; 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
  • 4+ years of hands on Software Quality Assurance/Testing experience
  • Experience with multiple testing frameworks
  • Experience creating test plans, test scenarios and test scripts
  • Full SDLC manual testing experience on Web Applications/User Interfaces
  • DevSecOps automation tool experience is highly desired
  • Experience with the following (or similar) tools is highly desired 
    • Rally (CA Agile)
    • Toad for oracle
    • Microsoft SQL management studio.
    • IBM Rational (CM,RM,RQM)
    • SharePoint
    • UltraEdit
  • Understanding of programming concepts for languages e.g. JAVA, .NET, Python a plus
  • Experience providing support to multiple groups in a matrixed environment  
  • Travel may be required
  • Ability to work overtime required on occasion
  • Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time
  • Remote and on-call responsibilities may be required
  • Prior Department of Veteran Affairs experience a plus
