Overview

ProSphere is currently seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support a IT Enterprise Services Contract essential for the engineering, implementation, and O&M for a DoD IT system  at a secure location in Fairfield, Pennsylvania. The selected candidate will join a team of Engineers who work with all branches of the service to maintaining the site's network and connections to other government location. Veterans are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scripts with UNIX and LINUX Operating Systems.
  • Configure, test and maintain various network operating systems (e.g., Juniper IOS, Cisco IOS, NXOS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, FCOE and FC environments). 
  • Configuring and troubleshoot VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) networks and ring technology.
  • Manage Datacenter Virtualization technologies including hands on experience with Cisco Nexus 7K, 5K, 2K, 9000 series equipment.
  • Deploy and maintain wide area networks with emphasis on IPsec, VPN, MPLS & Optical ring transport and commonly used access technologies such as DS1/T1, E1, DS3, OC3, OC12 and Metro Ethernet.
  • Support Juniper Circuit to Packet (CTP) technology.
  • Oversee IP traffic flow, protocol analysis, capturing and monitoring of live traffic streams.
  • Manage Cisco UCS, Juniper environment and VMware integration. 
  • Support Cisco ASA (Adaptive Security Appliance).
  • Utilize Radius authentication.

Qualifications

  • Must hold an active DoD Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting data and converged network infrastructure including most of the following: cabling, routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP and BGP, Wireless LAN, SAN, Load Balancers, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), firewalls and other network related technologies in support of a large corporate network.
  • A good background working/scripting with UNIX and LINUX Operating Systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of Juniper IOS, Cisco IOS, NXOS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, FCOE and FC environments.
  • Experience configuring/troubleshooting VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) networks and ring technology.
  • Experience with Datacenter Virtualization technologies including hands on experience with Cisco Nexus 7K, 5K, 2K, 9000 series equipment.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time 
  • Typical office environment. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; ability to lift 5-20 lbs
