Overview

ProSphere is seeking a Business Communication Analyst to provide business management office support to assist with tracking purchases, providing cost analysis, responding to data calls, supporting business justifications and assist in the planning, design, and implementation of communications products. Participates as needed in all phases of solution development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases. As a key member of our team, this role will be responsible and accountable for providing effective and efficient technical, functional and reporting support for the project. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and willing to work at the Department of Transportation Headquarters in Washington DC. Veterans are encouraged to apply. 

Responsibilities

  • Organize data and information for reporting and analysis 
  • Manage and track the details of acquisitions in support of the Acquisition Lead such as action items, schedule, risk, meeting minutes; 
  • Track action items and ensure that actions are followed up and completed; 
  • Organize the acquisition paperwork and documentation in a common repository; 
  • Coordinate scheduling and coordination of meetings as needed; 
  • Assist the Project Manager with activities related to the on-time and successful delivery of IT programs/projects; 
  • Support financial reporting across programs and projects; 
  • Provides functional expertise in the areas of acquisition management, procurement, and general project management;; 
  • Supports information data calls and maintains accurate historical records of responses; 
  • Supports acquisition process improvements; 
  • Serves as a consulting team member with an IT background; 
  • Collects data in accordance with plans developed by others; 
  • Verifies and analyzes data to identify trends and relationships as well as current and potential technical and management problems; 
  • Drafts reports of findings along with related documentation. 

Qualifications

  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree. Degree may be substituted with 4 additional years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Enterprise IT Environment.
  • Knowledge of contracts, federal procurement, and or general acquisitions.
  • Experience facilitating small group discussions, training, and related means of knowledge transfer across an integrated project team. 
  • 3+ years of experience with project management or business analysis. 
  • Demonstrated ability for oral and written communication with the multiple levels of management. 
  • Strong verbal (able to lead/facilitate user group sessions) and written skills 
  • Collaboration with multi-functional teams/stakeholder; working in teams 
  • Beginning Microsoft SharePoint administration 
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel 
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and timely (written and oral) 
  • Able to run effective meetings 
  • Ability to recognize and respond to problems, issues, and risks.
