  • Overview

    ProSphere is seeking a technical Project Manager who will serve as the primary onsite Point of Contact to customer teams and leadership. The candidate will be responsible for the execution of the project including the management of resources, scheduling, deliverables, fiscal requirements and contract mandated reporting. The candidate will be a proven leader and have experience managing Information Technology related projects involving Tier 2 and Tier 3 support to Exchange and other Microsoft environment programs, managing Oracle product and database management, systems administration, and network operations using management techniques and industry standard project management methodologies. This position requires excellent problem solving skills and the ability to communicate with all project stakeholders. The PM is also responsible for identifying and mitigating project risks.  This position is a full-time position located in Hines, Illinois. Veterans are encouraged to apply.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform as primary interface for all operations related to supporting helpdesk, system administration, network engineering, Oracle, MS Exchange, and other Microsoft environment programs.
    • Coordinate and communicate business and technical requirements between management and technical staff while managing client expectations in the process
    • Key interface for subcontract staff and partner relations
    • Ensure functional and technical requirements are met
    • Communicate and coordinate all project and maintenance activities
    • Manage schedule and deliverables to ensure contract compliance
    • Provide status reporting to all project stakeholders, including client management and the project team
    • Participate in regular customer meetings to report project status, progress, and risks/issues, as applicable

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems/Technology, or other analytical or technical discipline preferred. (8-years of relevant experience may be substituted for education)
    • A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience as a Project Manager
    • Experience managing multiple projects and personnel
    • A proven track record and expertise in risk management
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proven organizational and strong leadership skills
    • Ability to work well in a team environment
    • Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills are required
    • Capable to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Experience providing services to the federal government and/or the Dept. of Veterans’ Affairs is preferred
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a clearance for persons in a position of public trust conducted by the VA/OPM
    • Travel may be required
    • Ability to work overtime required on occasion

     

    Physical Demands:

    • Typical office environment. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; ability to lift 5-20 lbs.
