  • Overview

    ProSphere is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team supporting our government customer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within a fast-paced environment to test highly complex applications. Product quality and stability is critical and you will play a key role in ensuring this. This is a full-time position located in Alexandria, Virginia.  Veterans are encouraged to apply.

    Responsibilities

    • Adhere to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables
    • Provide expert services in quality assurance methodologies
    • Respond to ad hoc inquiries
    • Participate in group efforts to improve system efficiency and effectiveness
    • Participate in daily team meetings
    • Provide input to the development team and develop system test scripts and data from requirements provided by the Business Analysis
    • Execute test scripts and document results
    • Work with development team to remediate any defects found
    • Support end users during UAT

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline; 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
    • 4+ years of hands on Software Quality Assurance experience
    • Experience with multiple testing frameworks
    • Experience creating test plans, test scenarios and test scripts
    • Full SDLC manual testing experience on Web Applications/User Interfaces
    • Automation tool experience is highly desired
    • Understanding of programming concepts for languages e.g. JAVA, .NET, Python a PLUS
    • Experience providing support to multiple groups in a matrixed environment
    • Travel may be required
    • Ability to work overtime required on occasion
    • Remote and on-call responsibilities may be required
    • Ability to obtain a High Risk Public Trust clearance

     

    Physical Demands:

    • Typical office environment. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; ability to lift 5-20 lbs.
