    ProSphere is seeking a Test Engineer to support its government customer.  The Test Engineer will support the Security Engineering fucntion by analyzing security requirements and compliance documents, verifying DISA STIG, FISMA and 508 compliance to develop evaluation and test plans and procedures, preparing for and conducting the data collection and analysis, and reporting status and results. This role will support the development of Government test and evaluation documentation e.g., Test & Evaluation (T&E) Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, and T&E Reports. The Test Engineer will also work with other organizations to support T&E program integration. The successful candidate will provide specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance area as assigned. This is a full-time position located in Shepardstown, WV.  Veterans are encouraged to apply.


    • Contributes to the preparation, planning and execution of client testing activities
    • Performs testing of software programs to comport to specifications and documentation
    • Identifies, analyzes and documents security compliance issues
    • Creates test cases, test scripts, and test data
    • Creates and execute automated test scripts using testing software programs
    • Install, maintain, and use testing software programs
    • Provides subject matter expertise in one or more Department of client applications
    • Responds to inquiries from users and technical support regarding functions and operations of software programs
    • Contributes to establishment of standards and procedures for testing and secure baselines
    • Reviews computer logs and reports to identify program processing


    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
    • Experience in the coordination and execution of test events in accordance with approved test plans, procedures and scripts required
    • Must have knowledge and skills to ensure that test environments are set up accurately
    • Must be able to create test reports
    • The test engineer must be able to test IT hardware, software, systems and networks
    • Must have experience in writing or assisting in the development of test plans and test procedures
    • Experience with performing manual and automated application testing
    • 508 Compliance testing
    • Hands on experience working within a structured AGILE development environment
    • Experience with Security Testing tools such as Nessus and SonarQube
    • Ability to obtain International Software Testing Qualifications Board Advanced Security Tester Certification within 90 days
    • Experience working on Federal Government  programs
    • Experience with Project Management policies and procedures
    • Hands on experience working within a structured Agile environment
    • Experience with developing and executing test scripts from functional design documents within scheduled timeframes
    • Experience working with software product testing and applicable regulatory statutes
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially the ability to advocate, negotiate, listen and collaborate with a variety of individuals and groups

    Physical Demands:

    • Typical office environment. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift 5-20 lbs.
