  • Overview

    ProSphere is seeking a Test Manager who will direct the execution of all security compliance testing to ensure the technical solution support of government security requirements. The Test Manager directs the execution of all testing to ensure the technical solution support of verifying DISA STIG, FISMA and 508 compliance. The Test Manager shall have in-depth knowledge/expertise with the testing requirements for the SDLC or equivalent lifecycle process (Unit, Functional, Integration, Performance, and Automated Testing). This is a full-time position located in Shepardstown, WV. Veterans are encouraged to apply. 

    Responsibilities

    • Identify and monitor risks during test newtork development with emphasis on requirements and test design
    • Coordinate the tasks and activities necessary to complete a test cycle
    • Review and analyze requirements for testability
    • Review all project documentation and provide written feedback on discrepancies
    • Coordinate of test environment preparation
    • Create test documentation to include Test Plans and Test Reports
    • Identify and/or create test data as necessary
    • Map requirements to test cases; verify and validate during the test phase
    • Create and verify Test Problem Reports
    • Report status of test cases and contribute to daily status report
    • Provide reviews of test team deliveries
    • Ensure that test conclusions and recommendations are fully supported by test results
    • Ensure the test manager is fully informed of test status and application deviations from documented requirements
    • Identify and support opportunities of continuous improvement and test automation
    • Continually seek out knowledge to improve on professional skills as a security test engineer
    • Demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm and positive energy at work

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical discipline or equivalent with 10 or more years of actual test experience to include test script writing and test execution
    • 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
    • Extensive prior hands on testing and support of security complainced, functional, regression and integration testing
    • Experience in one of the following: Mainframes, Soap-Oriented Architecture, Client/Server, GUI and/or web-based technology
    • Experience in backend testing with the ability to manipulate and execute commands to achieve desired results in one of the following areas: XML, UNIX or SQL commands
    • Experience with database designs and interfaces between systems including ORACLE
    • Working knowledge of recognized quality standards on Information Technology projects
    • Excellent organizational, documentation and communication skills - express ideas clearly and effectively (verbally and written)
    • Peer Review team documentation
    • Ability to work comfortably in a high-energy, fast-paced, technically challenging environment
    • Knowledge of Security Testing tools such as Nessus and SonarQube
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment
    • Must be able to obtain and hold a Public Trust Suitability Clearance
    • Ability to obtain International Software Testing Qualifications Board Advanced Security Tester Certification OR ISC²  within 90 days
    • Travel may be required
    • Ability to work overtime required on occasion
    • Remote and on-call responsibilities may be required

    Desired Qualifications

    • Prior VA or Government experience, a plus
    • Knowledge of client-server and service-oriented architects 
    • Ability to test and support end-to-end and user interface testing
    • Knowledge of Test Automation concepts and previous automated test experience
    • Knowledge of SDLC, ITIL, ISO or related standards
    • Experience testing biographic and biometric applications a plus

    Physical Demands:

    • Typical office environment. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift 5-20 lbs.
