    ProSphere is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to manage the operations and maintenance of our customer’s systems and networks. Our ideal new team member will have the ability to prioritize work and identify high risk critical problems. Extensive knowledge of a wide variety of systems and networks to include high volume/high availability systems is a must. As one of our senior level administrators you will be charged with the responsibility of effectively provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and network infrastructure. The candidate must be self-motivated, possess strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and be willing to work as part of an integrated product team consisting of both Government and contractor personnel.

    • Incident Response, Risk and Vulnerability Assessments, compliance, system hardening.
    • Design and develop Cloud-specific security policies, standards and procedures.
    • Architect and design API Security, Container Security, Azure/AWS Cloud Security, etc.
    • Security posture assessment and requirements-based hardening.
    • Plan, implement, upgrade and monitor security measures related to computer networks and software testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation (AWS, Azure Cloud Security, Application Security,
    • Assist in developing an automated framework for Security Tool deployment, vulnerability scanning and development, leveraging various Scripting languages and open source solutions
    • Work closely with product and platform teams to engineer and implement application and cloud security controls
    • Provide inputs for design, testing, engineering, automation, API integration, and implementation of security solutions in all aspects of Information Security
    • Assist in documentation of Applications and Cloud Services in a System Security Plan
    • Provide detailed guidance on how to securely develop and deploy applications in cloud environments


    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems engineering or related technical discipline is preferred. (8-years of relevant experience may be substituted for education)
    • 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role within a Linux environment
    • Experience with AWS, Azure, VMware NSX, RedHat OpenStack/OpenShift, and/or containers-based hybrid cloud architecture, as well as with native AWS and Azure tools and services
    • Experience in Enterprise IT security risk assessments and related frameworks (e.g., ISO 27000 series, NIST 800 Series, VA-6500, etc.)
    • Conceptual knowledge of the following regulations: HIPAA, FISMA, FEDRAMP, VA, PCI, GDPR
    • Experience with cloud security controls, both native and third party in building Secure DevOps pipeline
    • Experience with Dashboarding tools 
    • A solid understanding of the Linux operating system (RHEL preferred) 
    • Detailed understanding of API (SOAP, REST), TCP/IP, SSH and related communication protocols, Windows authentication mechanisms (Kerberos, NTLM, AD), networking technologies, software defined computing, containerization, routing and switching, big data, elastic compute, and risk analysis and risk management methodologies
    • Knowledge of orchestration and automation tools
    • Excellent writing skills, with an ability to write technical content clearly, concisely, and in an engaging manner, drawing from a variety of data sources under tight timelines
    • Experience with developing and maintaining SOPs, creating technical architecture, and system documentation
    • Knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a clearance for persons in a position of public trust conducted by the VA/OPM
    • Travel may be required
    • Ability to work overtime required on occasion
    • Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time
