    ProSphere is seeking a dynamic, self-starting, full-time ServiceNow Sr. Developer/Architect with strong problem-solving expertise to support our mission critical federal customer in the  development and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform.


    The candidate must possess ITSM knowledge that can be applied to practice within ServiceNow.


    We are seeking candidates who have extensive knowledge of ServiceNow and can function as a primary developer to the ServiceNow platform in the development and enhancement of enterprise software processes and infrastructure. The candidate must be able to provide mastery of ServiceNow development and administration, as well as possess the skills and essential knowledge necessary to manage the configuration, implementation and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. The Developer is a senior technical resource that possesses advanced administration capability and is able to design, build, and customize ServiceNow applications and services. The Developer works across applications, delivers new functionality and innovative solutions, and supports the entire development life cycle. The Developer must have a software development background, enhanced by Advanced System Administration, JavaScript experience, and Application Creation in ServiceNow.


    The candidate will be responsible for managing deployed modules and services provided by ServiceNow, specifically with Incident Management, Change Management, Asset Management, Project Management, Knowledge Management, Service Catalog, and Self-Service Portal.


    The ideal candidate is a critical thinker/problem solver.  The candidate will be able to identify functional and user requirements from the end users for IT Service Management, and transform the requirements into tangible items within ServiceNow.

    • Formulate and define specifications and modifications for the ServiceNow platform in terms of business needs and corporate objectives
    • Provide technical leadership for planning, designing, installing, testing, implementing, documenting, and maintaining the ServiceNow platform
    • Evaluate current business practices with emerging technology and recommend relevant process enhancements and products that anticipate or complement corporate direction
    • Evaluate ServiceNow platform performance, isolate and debug software problems, and make recommendations for problem resolution
    • Designs and develops new ServiceNow applications and services
    • Provide subject matter expertise to the ServiceNow application, and ability to implement modules and other third-party applications used within the environment to ServiceNow for ITSM and operations management.
    • Transform business needs from the customer to tangible items within ServiceNow, from using modules available to the platform or creating new modules
    • Maintain the current ServiceNow implementation- appending proper access control lists to ensure users only have accessible to required modules.
    • Work with the Project Management Office and the federal team leads to create workflows, working demos, and prototypes prior to full deployment within the ServiceNow environment
    • Complete detailed documentation for workflows and services implemented within ServiceNow
    • Evaluate ServiceNow platform performance, and isolate/debug software problems with the vendor
    • Work collaboratively with other segments of the federal customer IT division to properly input data within the platform, and to ensure end-customer success


    • Bachelor’s degree preferred, 8 years of additional related work experience may be substituted for degree
    • 10+ years of experience as an analyst or developer
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining multiple ServiceNow instances
    • ServiceNow System Administration Certification required
    • ITIL standard certification, ITILv3 Practitioner+ preferred, ITILv3 Foundation recommended
    • Ability to customize workflows, Business Rules, and UI Scripts using JavaScript to create custom applications and configurations on the ServiceNow platform
    • Ability to create detailed documentation for the platform and items implemented
    • Communicate skills with Lines of Business/C-level staff, as well as other technical and non-technical staff is a must
    • Must be able to train end user staff on using the platform appropriately
    • Ability to work independently with minimal direction providing technical and non-technical support to multiple users
    • Ability to work on multiple projects and under pressure, time management skills are a must
    • Ability to work overtime, required on occasion
    • Remote and on-call responsibilities may be required
    • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
