  • Overview

    ProSphere is seeking an Asset Manager to lead the oversight, management, and maintenance of Federal hardware and software IT assets while tracking and monitoring each asset dynamically in the Government’s Service Management System. The selected candidate will document and manage the full lifecycle of all information technology assets. This is a full time position located in Washington, DC. Veterans are encouraged to apply.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain the accuracy of all assets in the Service Management System.
    • Manage access to all assets following Federal Government policies and guidelines.
    • Lead quarterly asset inventory audits which describe all hardware and software on the network and produce an Asset Inventory Report.
    • Lead inventory of stocked assets on a biweekly basis to assist with ordering new assets for non-capital assets to include laptops, desktops, tablets, monitors, and peripherals, and other IT devices.
    • Manage a small team of resources dedicated to the management of software and hardware assets.
    • Maintain and monitor Government-Furnished end user software licenses and maintenance agreements.
    • Manage and document all received hardware and software assets.
    • Produce and maintain short-term plans, long-term strategies and related presentations for hardware and software management and client usage.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific/technical discipline (10 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
    • Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated prior experience as an Asset Manager
    • Ability to deliver quality and timely contract documentation
    • Able to obtain and hold a Federal security clearance
    • Knowledge of asset lifecycles
    • Prior experience utilizing a Service Management System such as Remedy to track assets
    • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, self-starter and maintains positive attitude
    • Ability to work overtime required on occasion
    • Ability to work at government location in SW, Washington, DC
    • Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time
